Arrest made in Brighton Stabbing

At about 1:24 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017, Brighton Police Officers responded to a stabbing in the 400 block alley of S. 2nd Avenue. Officers located a 56-year-old Brighton male with stab wounds to the neck. The male was able to speak to the officers and was transported to an area hospital for his injuries.


Officers spoke to witnesses to the stabbing. The suspect, Damian Contizano, 28, was contacted by officers after a short foot pursuit and was taken into custody in regards to the stabbing.


Contizano was booked into the Adams County Detention Facility on charges of first degree assault. This charge is a felony. The charges are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.
