Brighton Animal Shelter entrance blocked

The Utilities Department is conducting a project that blocks the Brighton Animal Shelter entrance, located at 325 North Kuner Road, Brighton, CO 80601. The construction is ongoing and the driveway will continue to be closed until further notice.

Some of the animal control and shelter services will be limited during this time, including loose dogs and/or critters found by citizens. These animals will only be picked while animal control is on duty. Normal animal control hours are 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., seven days week.

During the construction, residents need to call an animal control officer to be escorted to the shelter. Residents should call the non-emergency ADCOM (The Adams County Communications Center, Inc.) dispatch at 303-288-1535 to request entrance. Directional signs will also be visible by the shelter during construction.

For questions, please call Utility Staff Engineer Matthew Amidei at 303-655-2183.
