The City of Brighton’s Historic Preservation Office will host a downtown Brighton Historic District open house from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, at the Armory Performing Arts Center, 300 Strong Street.
The open house will be the first in a series of informational meetings that will focus on education, the importance and impact of historic designation, compare and contrast contributing and noncontributing buildings, and the need for guidelines for the proposed district.
City staff will be available to answer questions and hear suggestions from the public. Materials and refreshments will also be offered to attendees. Staff hopes residents will attend and support the new district.
Comments and inquiries may be directed to the Historic Preservation Office at 303-655-2051 or by visiting Historic City Hall, 22 South Fourth Ave. Brighton, CO 80601.
