  • Proven track record of contributing to the community – economically, fiscally, and culturally.

To download the 2017 Grant proposal form visit www.brightonco.gov/lodgingtax.

In November 2011, the City Council of Brighton adopted a city ordinance to provide revenue to be allocated by the City Council for economic development, special events, cultural arts, advertising and / or marketing and promoting tourism and other activities which utilize public accommodations through the levy of an additional tax on overnight lodging stays. The intent and purpose of this lodging tax is to raise funds to promote economic development, tourism, conventions and related activities by marketing the City and sponsoring community events, in support of these purposes.

Proposals must be submitted to Lili Trevizo, City of Brighton, 500 South 4th Ave., Brighton, CO 80601 before 4 p.m. on Monday, August 21, 2017 for consideration by the Advisory Committee. Applications received after the deadline and/or incomplete applications will not be considered. For more information on the Lodging Tax grants visit www.brightonco.gov/lodgingtax or contact Lili Trevizo at 303-655-2045.
