The City of Brighton has announced the unveiling and dedication of sculptures administered through the Brighton Cultural Arts Commission that will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at the Strong Street Plaza on the corner of First Avenue and Strong Street.
The Brighton Cultural Arts Commission will lead the ceremony, and guests will have the opportunity to meet the artists behind the sculptures.
In 2016, the Brighton Cultural Arts Commission received funding for the creation of “Passage” by Saori Ide and Jonathan Russell from Ride Art Studios. Saori and Jonathon designed and created this kinetic sculpture in response to a national call for entries from original artwork.
Funding for this project was generously provided by the City of Brighton, the Adams County Cultural Arts Council and the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District. A special thank you to the City of Brighton Parks and Recreation Department for their assistance with the project.
