The City of Brighton and Brothers Redevelopment, Inc. are seeking volunteers to help with the 11th Annual Help for Homes program Saturday, May 6. Help for Homes brings volunteers and neighbors together to paint or fix up homes needing minor exterior repairs and perform general yard clean-up.
Teams may consist of 8-10 volunteers. If you can scrape, paint, do yard work or perform minor home repairs, your neighbors need you! Those interested in helping but do not have a team, may contact the Eagle View Adult Center to be matched with a team. Since the program’s origin, 194 homes have been restored through volunteer efforts.
The team captain meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at the Eagle View Adult Center, 1150 Prairie Center Parkway. For more information or to complete a volunteer application, call Sue at 303-655-2075. The deadline to become a volunteer is Friday, April 21.
Homeowners needing assistance can submit applications to the Center’s location through Wednesday, March 23. Fifteen to 20 homes will be selected.
Help for Homes is jointly sponsored by Brothers Redevelopment Inc. and the City of Brighton. Funding is provided by the Legacy Foundation.
