Spring into Garden In A Box

The City of Brighton Utilities Department has partnered with the Center for ReSource Conservation’s Garden In A Box program. Through this partnership, City of Brighton utility customers can receive a $25 discount off of water-wise garden kits while supplies last.

For 2017, residents can choose from five Xeric Garden In A Box kits with the $25 discount or a Xeric Greatest Hits garden along with the Spaghetti Dinner Vegetable Garden In A Box kits. Regardless of expertise, the program provides a significant water conservation tool in the form of a plant by number garden kit. These professionally designed gardens improve the beauty and water efficiency of any landscape, especially when used to replace turf. When Xeric gardens replace existing turf, the water savings are especially significant, reducing water use by up to 50 percent.

To order a garden through the Garden In A Box program, visit www.ConservationCenter.org/Gardens     . Gardens will be available for pick up from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 18th at the Adams County Fairgrounds, 9755 Henderson Rd, Brighton CO, 80601.

For more information, visit www.brightonco.gov/gardeninabox  or call 303-999-3820 x222.

--CITY--

Garden In A Box is a water conservation program of the Center for ReSource Conservation. Gardens are offered in partnership with local and regional water utilities in support of their commitment to water conservation. They are also available to customers outside these partnerships and are very competitively priced. When coupled with CRC’s Water-Wise Seminars, community members across the Front Range can gain valuable expertise that will strengthen their conservation practices and benefit them for years to come.
