Free Water-Wise Landscape Seminar April 4

The City of Brighton Utilities Department has partnered with the Center for ReSource Conservation to host a Water-Wise Landscape Seminar. Through this partnership, Brighton residents will have the opportunity to attend a free Water-Wise Landscape Seminar, Low Water Landscaping Tips and Tricks, from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 4 at the Brighton Recreation Center, 555 N 11th Ave, Brighton, CO, 80601.

From plant selection to landscape design to irrigation schedules, we are bombarded with decisions when it comes to managing and caring for our landscape. This seminar will explore a variety of low water tips and tricks ideal for reducing your outdoor summer water use, and it will provide the knowledge, tools, and resources necessary to create your very own water-wise landscape. Join local plant expert, Keith Williamson of Little Valley Wholesale Nursery in Brighton, CO, as he shares the secret ingredients for a successful and low maintenance landscape that requires less water while also contributing to the beauty of your surroundings.

The Center for ReSource Conservation (CRC) is a social enterprise nonprofit that puts conservation into action. We empower 65,000 Front Range community members annually, helping them to live more sustainably in practical, cost-effective and measurable ways.

This spring, the Center for ReSource Conservation is partnering with 8 local water providers, includingthe City of Brighton Utility Department, to offer Water-Wise Landscape Seminars on Xeriscape and other sustainable landscaping practices. These expert-led seminars are offered at no cost to residents, and they are open to everyone. Throughout the month of April, CRC will be hosting 13 seminars in 8 different communities across the Front Range.
