Director of Streets and Fleet appointed

Brighton Acting City Manager Clint Blackhurst recently announced the appointment of Kimberly Dall to Director of Streets and Fleet. In her new role, she will direct activities and staff of the department to achieve the goals and directives of Brighton City Council and the public. She will focus on collaboration, leadership, inclusivity, sustainability, and improving the City's transportation infrastructure.

Dall previously served as interim director of streets and fleet since July 2016. Prior to serving as interim director, Dall was the assistant director where her responsibilities included supporting the director in achieving department goals as well as public projects designs and budget and grant management.

She started with Brighton as a development engineering manager in 2008 where she performed a range of professional and technical work duties related to the review of public and private development facilities including development and compliance enforcement of City policies and standards, supervise and manage the work of professional consultants in the review and approval of subdivision and public infrastructure plans, and more. Before coming to Brighton, Dall worked a project engineer for seven years at Northern Engineering.

“Kimberly brings more than a decade of engineering, managing and infrastructure planning to this role,” Acting City Manager Clint Blackhurst said. “We were impressed with her accomplishments and leadership during her time as interim director. City Council and I are confident Kimberly will continue to lead the department successfully.”

Dall received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University. She has also obtained her professional engineering certification and graduated from the Rocky Mountain Public Works Institute, a regional program that educates and elevates public works employees, helping them achieve their management and leadership potential through interactive classes taught by experienced public works officials.
