Brighton Urban Renewal Authority seeking community input on Downtown parklet

Help select the design for Brighton’s downtown parklet and join the conversation at the Brighton Downtown Community Input event from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at Creative U, 43 N. Main Street.

A parklet is a sidewalk extension that provides more space and amenities for people using the street. It is most often used as a small seating area or green space alongside a sidewalk, especially in a former roadside parking space. Construction of the parklet is anticipated to begin in the second quarter of 2017 with construction being completed in the late spring, early summer; just in time for those sunny days!

The Brighton Urban Renewal Authority encourages community members to attend to share their ideas, enjoy refreshments and be the first to hear what’s coming to their downtown.

For more information, please contact the Brighton Urban Renewal Authority Interim Director Ryan Johnson at 303-655-2139.
