City of Brighton tree program

The City of Brighton’s tree-planting program has seven species of trees available for purchase. The tree program is intended to encourage tree planting, species diversity and water conservation within the city.

The species of trees available are selected based on Brighton’s water demand and soil conditions. Trees available through the program include Glenleven Linden, Bur Oak, Chanticleer Pear, Eastern Redbud, Hackberry, Hot Wings Maple, and Autumn Brilliance Serviceberry. Each tree costs $59.68.

To place an order, please fill out and return an application form with a check made out to the City of Brighton.  Applications may be found online at

Residents will be able to pick up their trees in mid-April 2017. Participants of the program are responsible for all tree maintenance, pruning and watering – however, master gardeners will be available to answer questions during tree pick up.

All trees purchased through the city’s tree program must be planted within Brighton city limits, on public right-of-way or on private property.

Trees will be reserved when full payment is received. Payment is non-refundable and no warranty is available. Limit of three trees per household.
