Armed Robberies Under Investigation

Brighton Police are currently investigating two armed robberies that occurred Monday morning.

At about 5:00 a.m. a white male entered the Kum & Go Convenience Store at 70 W. Bridge St.  The male contacted the clerk and armed with a handgun demanded money.  The suspect then left in a white four door car, possibly a Toyota.

About 2 hours later a male matching the same general description appeared at the Shell Station at 21 County Road 27 in north Brighton. The male demanded money while holding a handgun.

Both cases are being actively investigated at this time.  Due to the similarities and short time frame involved it is suspected the robberies are related.

Anyone who believes they may have information about these robberies is asked to call 911.
