Arrest made in Brighton stabbing

At about 12:16 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, Brighton Police Officers responded to a stabbing in the 1000 block of North Pond Drive. Officers located a 56-year-old Brighton male with stab wounds to the neck. The male was alert and able to speak to the officers. The injuries appeared to be non-life threatening. The male was transported to an area hospital for his injuries.

Officers also spoke to a female and a male who were present when they arrived. The male, Che Jason Bachicha, 28, was contacted by officers and was taken into custody in regards to the stabbing.

Bachicha was booked into the Adams County Detention Facility on charges of attempted first degree murder. This charge is a felony. The charges are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.
