City Council Approves Agreement Accepting City Manager’s Retirement

At a Special City Council meeting today, Brighton City Council voted to approve an agreement with City Manager Manuel Esquibel accepting his retirement and setting forth the terms of his separation.

“City Council appreciates Manuel’s more than 17 years of dedicated service to the Brighton community and 45 years in public service,” said Mayor Dick McLean. “We wish him well in his future and look forward to continuing to grow Brighton in a positive manner.”

Between now and Jan. 31, the City Council will be discussing appointment of an Interim City Manager and will make that announcement once the decision is made.
