Solar Friendly Communities

Brighton is happy to announce newly-adopted processes for solar system installations. These changes are directly related to the efforts of the Solar Friendly Communities initiative, which aims to encourage the expansion of solar energy by making it easier for citizens to install solar systems on their homes and businesses.  We are pleased to join an innovative partnership between local government and the solar industry.

"The Solar Friendly Communities project helps citizens go solar. We work to make rooftop solar permitting easier for local governments, faster for solar installers, and less expensive for residents.  By bringing down costs, we encourage the spread of a locally powered, job-creating energy source that has no fuel costs and produces no pollution."
    ~Solar Friendly Communities

Solar energy has been recognized as one of the fastest growing industries in the nation, and Brighton Sustainable is happy to join the initiative to support streamlined processes for solar installations.  As a result of these efforts, Brighton has applied for and achieved a GOLD-Level Solar Friendly Community Certification from the Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association (COSEIA.)
