The Big Little Idea contest is a city-sponsored contest that will award $500 each to six citizens, nonprofits or teams, to create and implement ideas that will make Brighton a better place to live, work, play and learn. Brighton residents are encouraged to show their love for Brighton through their ideas for fun things to do in Brighton or that create “love notes” around the community. Members of the Brighton community are encouraged to “think outside the box.”
The six winners will be chosen by a judging panel consisting of city council members and appointed city staff. Winners will be selected based on the criteria for originality, connection to the community, and creativity.
Please read our Contest Rules and Details here. Contest opens January 1, 2016. Deadline for entries is April 1, 2016. Individuals can enter the contest online or by picking up an application at the front desk of Brighton City Hall.
Inspiration for the contest comes from the book, ‘For the Love of Cities’, by Peter Kageyama. Read about it here to begin your inspired idea.
