The Big Little Idea contest is a city-sponsored contest that will award $750 each to four citizens, nonprofits or teams, to create and implement ideas that will make Brighton a better place to live, work, play and learn. Brighton residents are encouraged to show their love for Brighton through their ideas for fun things to do in Brighton or that create “love notes” around the community. Members of the Brighton community are encouraged to “think outside the box.”
The four winners are chosen by a judging panel consisting of city council members and appointed city staff. Winners will be selected based on the criteria for originality, connection to the community, and creativity.
Please read our Contest Rules and Details here. 2018 contest opens Feb. 1, deadline for submissions is April 1, and winners will be announced April 14.
Inspiration for the contest comes from the book, ‘For the Love of Cities’, by Peter Kageyama. Read about it here to begin your inspired idea.
